Cover story of the magazine of the Brazilian flat-glass association (cover line: “Como uma onda no mar”) on the glazed canopy designed by Nir Sivan for the CasaShopping expansion in Rio de Janeiro, named Onda Carioca. The article describes a self-supporting, column-free structure of about 1,100 m², to be built by Seele with structural engineering by Knippers Helbig, and quotes Nir Sivan on how Rio’s landscapes and people inspired the design.
