The Brazilian design and architecture magazine selects the international architects who “mapped Brazil in their sketches”, in print and online: Santiago Calatrava (Museu do Amanhã), Zaha Hadid Architects, Diller Scofidio + Renfro, Daniel Libeskind, Jean Nouvel, Philippe Starck and Nir Sivan.
On Onda Carioca, Nir Sivan’s first project in Brazil (2013), GIZ writes: a 20-metre wave-shaped sculpture at the main entrance of CasaShopping, the largest décor shopping centre in Latin America, built with 110 tonnes of Czech steel and 45 tonnes of triangular glass panels, striking for its transparency and for having no columns.
