3D-PRINTED STUDY, SABIÁ

A thin 3D-printed shell for Brazil's national bird: from a couch sketch on an iPad to an AI image, a 3D model and a printed study for an urban landmark.

3D-PRINTED STUDY, SABIÁ

Project

The Sabiá, the thrush that sings at dawn, is Brazil’s national bird and a symbol of freedom, hope and belonging. This study began on a couch, with a hand-drawn sketch on an iPad: a few relaxed lines that caught the bird at rest, its body a single continuous surface.

From that first line a creative migration unfolded. The sketch became an AI-generated image, then a video, then a 3D model with volume and texture. The 3D print closes the loop: a thin white shell, open underneath, whose fine layer lines are the digital equivalent of the hand’s marks on clay. Seen from the side it is a bird; seen from below it is a roof, a canopy, a space to stand under.

The study is the seed of an urban space and landmark for Brazil, a monument to creativity, community and cultural memory, imagined for a future concept museum where nature, technology and architecture meet.

The project: Hand sketch to 3D AI experiments, Brazil.
