Corriere della Sera – (Archeologika)
Archeologika – a valuable opportunity to confirm that enhancing cultural heritage is also a matter of economic development.
In Sardinia, there are 280 small museums, most located in inland towns, where more than a thousand people work in the cultural sector. Together with restoration sites and parallel activities, these museums form an economic and social system that cannot be ignored.
As we step into the 20th century, new forms of narration are being explored: projections of ships, large nuraghi, marble statues, and Roman roads—3,000 years of history told in 14 virtual minutes, among real objects and multimedia routes.
The Archeologika fair (promoted by Fondazione Monte Prama, with support from the Sardinian Region) aims to open the promotion of cultural heritage to a broader audience, providing access to information and multimedia paths.
“There will be an installation,” explains architect Nir Sivan, “which we will call Nuraghe Coloru: it originates on the floor and rises, winding upwards. It will be made of 2,000 hollow cardboard cubes, significantly lightweight and eco-sustainable.”
